About Us
Revive Speech Therapy is dedicated towards meeting you wherever you are in your journey. We incorporate quality assessment tools and collaborate with you and your loved ones to develop individualized therapy plans that fit your goals. What makes us different is our strive to create a community-based clinic and provide opportunities for social connection and relationships apart from speech therapy services alone. We pride ourselves on our innovative and creative interventions that are effective, engaging, and based on the latest research.
Revive Speech Therapy originated in Los Angeles, California and has recently relocated to New York and New Jersey. We were previously partnered with Functional Rehab Center, a physical and occupational therapy company in Long Beach, California, to provide a unique experience of having speech, occupational, and physical therapy all in one spot! We are now operating solely via home services and at medical facilities in Manhattan, NY, Northern Jersey, and Central Jersey.

Meet the Founder!
Valerie Bechtold, M.S. CCC-SLP is the Owner and Chief Clinical Specialist of Revive Speech Therapy, Inc. She is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist who specializes in adults with Aphasia, Apraxia of Speech, dysarthria, tracheostomy and ventilator-dependent individuals, swallowing disorders, and voice disorders! Her clinical experiences in the healthcare industry, including sub-acute care and traumatic brain injury centers, provide her with vast experience and an eclectic skillset.
Valerie started Revive Speech Therapy, Inc. with a clear vision. To create a community-based speech therapy practice where clients can develop their skills in individual and group therapy sessions, and options to generalize the skills learned in social events and activities of daily living.
What sparked this passion was her realization that there is a large gap between speech-therapy sessions and real-world engagement, and a lack of opportunity for social inclusion.
Valerie sees, first-hand, the benefit of these novel clinical methods, and is excited to continue to explore new ways to improve quality of life for her patients and clients.
